Dear Abdeslam,

It has been a while, I hope all is well.

Thank you for your valuable input. The 3 levels you mention below are part of the UASG work, and TF-AIDN members are encouraged to be part of that work and feed it into the TF-AIDN work.

Dear Fahd,

Thank you for sharing the interview.

As far as I can see, TF-AIDN work on IDNs has brought some maturity in the matter of Arabic Script IDN industry tooling. However, the demand on Arabic Script domains is not increasing accordingly and the visibility about the future is uncertain. May be there are at least a couple of things to do in order to bring the desired interest:
- Multiply outreach blogs/ white papers in localized ARABIC script in destination of our region's people,
- MESWG can help build influence by nominating other Ambassadors within sub-geographic regions in the world, say Western Africa, Eastern Africa, Middle East, APAC, North Asia.

I would like to thank Abdalmoneem for bringing our voice in the UASG ceremonies. I am still looking for the UA Cloud testing infrastructure (2 VMs if I am not wrong are to be created and shared with the UA subgroup team). For UA much work done in the context of handling complex scripts applies also to our script with a specific attention w.r.t RTL writing in the case of Arabic Script. In my opinion UA work can be handled at 3 levels:

1. Internet and Software compliance and conformity specification which requires the participation of cross domain specialists like Linguists, Developers and Architects

2. 2. Automated testing tools(Web, Mobile, APIs, EAI) able to assign conformity scores based on testing statistics, and

3. Regular publication of the obtained result reports with 2 different points of view:

a. Technical reports for technical community, software vendors, and organizations, and

b. Outreach reports in localized languages

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
عبد السلام
